We are moving ever forward with increased staffing and improved
system integration to efficiently manage the extra work involved.
On-line entry of jobs by our customers is now available for direct
entry onto our Warehouse Management System as well as our
Transport System. This is very useful for our warehousing
customers
We have also initiated the development of a new website [yes we
know – it’s about time too!]

Summer 2011
Increased business has seen us take on a second warehouse to
accommodate our growing stock levels. Now, well over 10,000
pallets.
We have also received approval for our own Movement Guarantee for
Bonded alcohol. This allows us to provide a complete Wet Bond
service for our Bonded Warehouse customers.

Spring 2011
Since our last update Law Distribution has gone from strength to
strength.
This has been reflected in our enlarged customer base and well
stocked warehouse. Our Warehouse Management System is now proving
itself to be a major asset as we are attracting new warehousing
customers on a regular basis – both dry goods and wet bonded
storage.
Our input of pallets into the Palletline hubs has seen an increase
from 95 pallets per night to over 200 pallets. All are carefully
delivered by the other Shareholding Members of Palletline.
Our Palletline management team has been strengthened to cope with
the extra administration involved – covering vehicles, drivers and
(despite sophisticated integrated computer systems) the never
ending paperwork! |
March 2011 – New DAFs
We have now taken delivery of two new DAF rigids for our
Palletline operation. Our trucks are all on a 5-year contract
hire replacement deal with Ryder plc, which means that each
vehicle in our fleet is updated and replaced on a regular cycle.

January 2010 – Masternaut 3X Vehicle Tracking
Our continued commitment to improved service has resulted in
investment in the latest vehicle tracking technology to monitor
delivery vehicles. The system helps us focus on vehicle location
and deliver better customer focus.

August 09 – Re-location of Accounts Office
In order to integrate our operation fully the accounts office,
which had operated from Cumbria since 1994, was closed and moved
to our Haydock site. This was principally because of our greatly
increased customer base.

April 09 – Closure of Widnes Site
After allowing 3 months for things to settle down and people to
get to know each other the JH Davies Widnes site was closed. All
operations were transferred to the Law Distribution site in
Haydock.

January 09 – Purchase
of J.H.Davies of Widnes
Our determination to expand and enlarge our customer base resulted
in our purchase of the assets of J H Davies Haulage from their
administrators. By taking on former JH Davies drivers and traffic
office staff we were able to provide continuity of service for
the JH Davies’ customers. As they were a fellow member of
Palletline the change to the service provided for Palletline
customers was seamless, with ourselves taking over the Liverpool
area that they covered

Autumn 08 - Sophisticated New Warehouse
Management System Implemented
This new Radio Frequency barcode based scanning and report
warehouse system provides continuous accurate real time
information on stock movements, further enhancing the quality of
the service that Law Distribution offers its clients.
